Consul General Huang Ping Met with Mike Spano, Mayor of Yonkers in New York State

Recently, Consul General Huang Ping met with the City of Yonkers government officials, including Mayor Mike Spano, Deputy Mayor Jim Cavanaugh, etc., and exchanged opinions over launching the further communication and cooperation between China and Yonkers. Deputy Consul General Wang Lei, Commercial Counselor Gu Chunfang, representatives from Yonkers Department of Planning & Development and Yonkers Industrial Development Agency, and president and CEO Yuan Ning at China Construction America company attended the conference.
 
Huang Ping stated that 2019 is the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China-US diplomatic relations. In the past 40 years, the China-US relationship has been well developed. The expansion of cooperation in different fields between the two countries had brought great benefits to both countries as well as their citizens. The Consulate General of China in New York is committed to launching cooperation between China and the US in the consular district, hoping to further promote and enhance the trade relations and cultural communication between China and the City of Yonkers. China Construction America and other China-invested enterprises were also encouraged to participate in local projects and further contribute to the healthy development of China-US relationship.
 
Spano indicated that maintaining a healthy and stable China-US relationship is not only important to both countries, but also very essential to the entire world. The City of Yonkers attached great importance to launching mutual beneficial cooperation in different fields at the local level. The City of Yonkers also welcomed China Construction America as well as other Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Yonkers to actively enhance the trade relations and to promote communications in cultural and other perspectives.

Yonkers is the fourth largest city in New York State and locates at the East Coast of Hudson River in Westchester County.
