Over the past 40 years, China-US relations have achieved tremendous development, which not only brings tangible benefits to the people from the two nations but also make great contributions to world peace and human progress. At present, the daily trade volume between China and the United States is as high as 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, and the annual personnel exchanges reach 5.2 million. China-US relations are facing some difficulties now. Some people in the United States are speculating on "decoupling" between China and the United States. However, in fact, the two countries have already become a community of mutual interests. Advocating the "decoupling" between China and the United States is tantamount to idiotic dreams.
Huang Ping emphasized that humanities exchange is the foundation of bilateral relations, and education cooperation is an important part of humanities exchanges. Nearly 400,000 Chinese students are currently studying aboard in the United States. The potential for cooperation between China and the United States in education is still enormous. The Consulate General is willing to support the exchange and cooperation between University of Pennsylvania and Chinese universities. It is hoped that the two sides will work together to deepen exchanges and cooperation, continuously enhance mutual trust between the two countries, and jointly promote the healthy and stable development of China-US relations.
