Consul General Huang Ping Visited John Jay College of Criminal Justice

On May 10th, Consul General Huang Ping was invited to visit the John Jay Criminal Justice College of the City University of New York to communicate with President Karol Mason, Provost Li Yi, and student representatives.

Huang Ping said that John Jay Criminal Justice College has a reputation for criminal justice, forensic science, and public affairs in the United States, and has sent a large number of outstanding police officers to the New York City Police Department. Li Changyu, a famous Chinese criminal forensic expert, also graduated from here. At present, China's urbanization construction is developing rapidly, and there is a great demand for professionals in criminal justice, forensic and police affairs. It is hoped that the school will strengthen exchanges with relevant Chinese universities and local governments, cooperate to cultivate more professionals, improve China's urban governance capacity and the level of law enforcement, and inject positive energy into China-US cooperation.

Mason said that John Jay Criminal Justice College has always attached importance to developing cooperative relations with China. The school has frequent exchanges of visits with the People's Public Security University of China. Meanwhile, the Xi'an Municipal Police Bureau has long participated in short-term training programs of the school. John Jay Criminal Justice College is willing to continue to explore opportunities for cooperation with Chinese universities and local departments.

Huang Ping and his delegation also visited the campus and related education laboratories, and communicated with faculty and students.
