Consul General Huang Ping Met with Henry Kissinger, Former United States Secretary of State

Recently, Consul General Huang Ping met with Henry Kissinger, former United States Secretary of State, and the two sides exchanged views on China-US relations. Robert Hormats, former Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, and Qian Jin, Deputy Consul General, attended the meeting.

Huang Ping spoke highly of Kissinger's remarkable contribution to the development of China-US relations over the past 50 years, stressing that it is in the fundamental interests of the two countries and our people to maintain the steady development of China-US relations and contribute to world peace and prosperity. We hope that Dr. Kissinger could continue to exert his unique influence and contribute to the development of China-US relations in the future.

Kissinger pointed out that US-China cooperation is critical to world peace and prosperity. Under the current circumstances, the two sides should strengthen communication and dialogue and deepen mutual understanding so that the long-term and stable development of US-China relations could be achieved.
