2018/11/20

On November 15, 2018, Huang Ping, the new Chinese Consul General in New York, and his wife Zhang Aiping, arrived at JFK Airport in New York and was warmly welcomed by local Chinese community representatives.

Huang Ping said in an interview with the media at the airport that he was very happy to send greetings to the vast number of overseas Chinese in the district through the media as he arrived in New York. The current China-US relation faces important challenges and opportunities. He looks forward to the success of the upcoming meeting of leaders from China and the US. The Chinese Consulate General in New York will actively promote the development of China-US relations from the very ground. Local cooperation is an important part of China-US relations. The Ten States in Eastern US have a good foundation for further deepening exchanges and cooperation with China and can contribute to the healthy and stable development of China-US relations. “As the new Consul General of China in New York, I feel the mission is glorious and the responsibility is significant.”

Huang Ping said that China's diplomatic institutions have always been focusing on the people. “I will lead the Chinese Consulate General in New York to continue to practice diplomacy for the purpose of the people and to spare no efforts to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and citizens overseas. There is no ‘best service’ for overseas Chinese, only better. I will do my due diligence and do a good job in our overseas livelihood projects. At the same time, I hope that the vast number of overseas Chinese will continue to support the work of the Consulate General, support China's development and construction, and contribute to the promotion of China-US friendship.
