On February 8th, the Eve of the Chinese New Year of the Dragon, the Chinese Consulate General in New York and the Nasdaq jointly held a Bell Ringing Ceremony to celebrate the Spring Festival. Consul General Huang Ping, Deputy Consul General Qian Jin and representatives from institutions, business, media, cultural and educational communities participated in the event.

The Nasdaq Stock Exchange’s giant electronic screen at Times Square live broadcast the bell ringing ceremony and scrolled the video clips introducing CMG Spring Festival Gala and showing the traditional culture of the Chinese New Year, attracting pedestrians to stop and watch. New Yorkers and tourists from all over the world shared the auspicious celebrations of the Chinese New Year.
