Multi-entry Visa Policy to Be Adjusted and Simplified (2005-09-26)

          To further promote the business or tourism travel of American citizens to China, the Consulate General of the P.R. China in New York adjusts and simplifies the policy of multi-entry visas as of the date of Oct. 4, 2005:

1. American passport holder with the Place of Birth is printed as China may apply for multi-entry Tourist Visas (L-visa) valid for 6 or 12 months.

2. Applicant who has Business Visa (F-visa) records before or has a formal letter from the Chinese counterpart or his or her employee stating that he or she will visit China frequently and need a multi-entry visa may apply for multi-entry visas valid for 6 or 12 months.

3.  Applicant who has the records of 2 or more entries with business visas (F-visas) in the past year and has a formal letter from his or her employee stating that he or she will visit China frequently and need a multi-entry visa valid for 24 months may apply for multi-entry visa valid for 24 months.

4. It generally takes 4-7 working days to process 24-month multi-entry visas, and same day rush or next day express service are not available.
