Requirements of Multi-entry Visas Adjusted and Simplified

        In order to further promote personnel exchanges between China and the United States, the Chinese Consulate General in New York has adjusted and simplified the requirements for applying for multi-entry visas to China.

 

        1. Multi-entry business visas for 12 months

            The following applicants may apply for multi-entry business visas for 12 months:

           1) Applicant who intends to visit China frequently on business purposes: a letter from his or her company or the host company in China required, proving that the applicant will visit China frequently within one year.

           2) Applicant who has had a multi-entry visa: multi-entry visa record required.

 

        2. Multi-entry tourist visas for 12 months

            The following applicants may apply for multi-entry tourist visas for 12 months:

            1) Applicant born in China with the record of visits to China for at least 2 times in the past year: record of visits rquired.

            2) Applicant who owns a property in China: copy of certificate of property required.

            3) Applicant born in China and needs to visit China frequently for health care: certificate of a doctor required.

            4) Applicant whose spouse, children or parents reside in China: copy of certificate of marriage or kindred required.

            5) Applicant with a record of multi-entry tourist visas: record of multi-entry tourist visas required.

            6) Other applicants who were born in China and intend to visit China frequently: necessary supporting document required.

 

       3. Multi-entry business visa for 24 months

           The following U.S. citizens may apply for multi-entry business visas for 24 months:

        1) Applicant who has had the record of visits to China at least 2 times with business visa (F visa) in the past year and has a formal letter from his or her company to prove that he or she will visit China frequently on business purposes: records and copies of business visas and entry stamps, and the formal letter from the company required.

       2) Applicant who invests in China: copy of the business registration or relevant business permit with the applicant's name required.

       3) Applicant who has the record of multi-entry business visa: copy of the visa required.

 

        Please be noticed that applications should meet the relevant requirements. Application forms should be filled out completely and accurately and signed by the applicant. The consuls of the Consulate are entitled to refuse any application which does not meet the requirements.
