On December 28, the Chinese Consulate General in New York held the 6th “Media Meeting of Minds” with media in our consular district. Acting Consul General Qian Jin hosted the event. Head and Journalists from relevant media participated in the event.  

Qian Jin highlighted the key points of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important address on the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs that concluded that day based on the relevant press release.

Qian stated China’s position and discussed with the media on China-U.S. relations, China-U.S. counter-narcotics cooperation, China’s economic development, Taiwan question, and the South China Sea, Xinjiang-related issues. He also elaborated that the Consulate General will hold a series of events during New Year and Spring Festival season, aimed at enhancing cultural exchanges and fostering people-to-people friendship between China and the U.S..

The relevant media extend gratitude to the Consulate General for coordinating the “Media Meeting of Minds”, affirming that this event helps in enhancing their understanding of relevant issues.
