Chinese Consulate General in New York Provided Consular Service in Ohio

On December 8 2023, the Chinese Consulate General in New York held a ‘Consular Service into the Community’ event in 

Columbus, Ohio, to provide passport service to local Chinese community. Consul General Huang Ping interacted with 

with the compatriots participating in the event and conducted on-site interviews with Xinhua News Agency and Dragon 

TV. Deputy Consul General Wu Xiaoming attended the event.





The event lasted for over 4 hours. Consuls and volunteers worked together to receive nearly 200 compatriots and process 

nearly 100 Chinese passport and travel document applications.




The Consulate has organized 23 ‘Consular Service into the Community’ events in 2023, achieving full coverage of the 10  

states in its consular district in a single year. Approximately 2,000 Chinese passports, travel documents and other consular 

certificates have been processed and thousands of relatedinquiries have been addressed.
